Cat Smith, MP for Lancaster and Wyre, visited Garstang Community Academy to meet students and staff and learn more about the school's journey.. She spoke about the challenges she faced in her role, the importance of perseverance, and the rewarding aspects of her career. Students were particularly moved by her commitment to addressing local issues, such as road safety. She has pledged to support them with their campaign to improve the road directly outside of the campus to help keep students safe.
