After Easter we have decided to open up our school filtered WIFI to students in the Science area, in order that we can trial the use of Personal Mobile Devices in Year 10 lessons in this area.
Having used school iPads very successfully this year, we feel there could be many educational benefits to being able to spontaneously access the filtered wi-fi in these lessons.
This means that from 11th April 2016, Year 10 students may have available, to use in science lessons, their smartphones, tablets etc.
The responsibility for these devices still sits firmly with the student to whom they belong and use of these devices will be carefully monitored.
