Garstang Community Academy
Before the summer break, all of the students took part in leadership training with Seth Wilkins and Estelle Bellamy, and came up with a range of ideas that they want to implement in the coming year.
The Head Boy and Head Girls are all responsible for a different area of the GCA mission and have shown exceptional maturity and collaborative skills.
This year GCA has appointed a new style leadership team who are keen to support the growth and development of the school through a range of initiatives and through mentoring students in key stage 3.

Meet Scarlett, the newly appointed Head Student for Grow at Garstang Community Academy. With her experience in extracurricular activities and strong connections with both staff and students, she’s an inspiring role model. Scarlett is committed to giving all students a voice, fostering growth, and motivating them to achieve their best.
Imogen Lowther
CARE
Meet Imogen Lowther, one of the newly appointed Head Students at Garstang Community Academy for Care. Imogen is dedicated to helping others see the positives in every situation. A hardworking individual who always gives 100%, she strives to be a strong role model for younger students. Her leadership is focused on inspiring optimism, resilience, and dedication throughout the school community.

Meet Pierce McShannon, the newly appointed Head Student for Achieve at Garstang Community Academy. With his dedication to academic excellence and active involvement in school activities, Pierce is a strong leader. He aims to inspire students to reach their full potential, encouraging perseverance, ambition, and a commitment to success across the school community.

Meet Erin Parkinson, the newly selected Head Student for the theme of Together at Garstang Community Academy. Erin is passionate about creating positive change through collaboration. Her involvement in school life, from theatre to football, reflects her commitment to unity. Erin believes in the power of teamwork, ensuring every student’s voice is heard to build a stronger, more inclusive school community.
