On the 24th February five Year 8 students from the Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) Club attended the CISCO ‘Little Big Awards’ Regional Finals at the Brockholes Nature Reserve, Preston together with ten other schools.
The group were given the challenge of ‘connecting the unconnected’. They came up with new useful ideas that they had to design, build prototypes and come up with a business case for production.
Whilst our students did not make it through to the National Finals, they achieved success by winning an award for the best submission of science, research and technology.
Well done to our students Alex Law, Luke Ghani, Matthew Gallagher, Oliver Lavrynenko and Sam Monks.
