This week, some of our GCSE French students enjoyed an inspiring visit to Safran Nacelles Ltd in Burnley - a global leader in designing and maintaining aircraft engine nacelle systems.
Students took part in a guided tour of the site and were joined by a French-speaking employees who offered our students the opportunity to try out their French skills.
The visit helped students see how language skills connect to major global industries such as engineering, aviation, and manufacturing. It was incredibly valuable for them to understand that French - and other languages - can open doors to a wide range of exciting career pathways, not just traditional language-based roles.
One student commented: “It has helped me understand what paths learning a language can open.”
A huge thank you to the team at Safran Nacelles for welcoming our students and providing such an inspiring experience.
