
We were delighted to welcome the Schools Liaison Officer from Queen's College, Oxford University, who visited our school on Tuesday, December 2nd, to deliver a truly insightful and inspiring talk on applying to Higher Education (HE).
The session provided our students with a comprehensive and practical look at what life after school could hold, helping to demystify the journey to university.

- Degree Pathways: The officer thoroughly explored the vast array of degree subjects available, illustrating how different qualifications can lead to diverse and fulfilling career paths.
- Student Finance: A crucial component of the talk focused on the practicalities of student finance, providing clear, helpful information on fees, loans, and bursaries available to support students through their studies.
- A Day in the Life: Students enjoyed a fascinating glimpse into the student experience, reviewing a "typical day" for an undergraduate, covering everything from lectures and tutorials to extracurricular activities and social life.
- Benefits of University Study: The discussion highlighted the significant long-term benefits of studying at university, including developing independent learning skills, expanding career opportunities, and becoming part of a diverse, intellectually stimulating community.
