Students at GCA were given a powerful glimpse into the future this week as EDF visited for a Year 11 assembly focused on careers in the energy sector. The session offered valuable advice and guidance on EDF’s apprenticeship programmes, available at both 16 and 18, and highlighted the exciting pathways into engineering, business, and sustainability.
Apprenticeships That Spark Potential
EDF’s team shared details about their nationally recognised apprenticeship schemes, which combine hands-on experience with academic study. Whether students are looking to enter the workforce straight after GCSEs or post-18, EDF offers structured routes into high-demand roles with real earning potential and long-term career growth.
Applications for EDF apprenticeships open on 23rd January, and students were encouraged to keep an eye on the EDF Careers website for updates and guidance.
