Over 160 local primary school pupils were invited to attend the annual 'Maths Challenge'.
Mr Holliday, Vice Principal hosted the event and there was an exciting atmosphere - competition was fierce with fantastic results showing continuing improvement in primary mathematical ability.
The events were held over two Thursday mornings, with the team from Garstang Community Primary winning the larger schools event and Great Eccleston Copp Primary excelling in the smaller school group.
The first Challenge took place on Thursday 7th February and involved Garstang Community Primary, Garstang St Thomas' Primary, St Mary & St Michael RC Primary and Kirkland & Catterall St Helen's C of E Primary. The second Maths Challenge took place on Thursday 7th March and involved Forton, Great Eccleston Copp, St Michaels-on-Wyre, Scorton/Calder Vale and Bilsborrow John Cross Primary Schools.
We look forward to welcoming all the primaries for the 2020 Maths Challenge!!
