For World Book Day, Mr Ashcroft organised a book review competition for Year 7 and 8 students.
The students had to detail the book that 'Changed My Life' and explain the reason it made them think differently. There were many entries, with some insightful reviews.
Congratulations to Year 8 student, Ruairi Watson who chose the book Cell 7 by Kerry Drewery. "It made me think about how lucky we are to live in a world where there is a fair imprisonment and justice system"
Well done to runners up Liam Painter (7.3) who chose The Butterfly Lion by Michael Murporgo and Katie Nelson (7.3) who enjoyed Dairy of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney.
The prize winners were presented with Easter eggs by Mr Ashcroft.
