GCA Head Girl Jasmine Jolly competed in the Northern Indoor Championships held at the Sheffield Athletic Stadium on Saturday 13th January.
All the best hurdlers from the region attended the meet to compete for the title - The Northern U17 Girls 2018 Champion. Jasmine is the defending champion from 2017.
Year 11 student Jasmine successfully defended her title, winning the first heat in 9:09 seconds, despite hitting the first hurdle - leaving her rivals trailing behind her.
In the final race she was the quickest from the blocks to the first hurdle, and cleared all five hurdles in 8.79 seconds - a new personal best. Our Head Girl has now won the 60m Hurdles indoor title for 3 consecutive years, from 2016-2018.
