Over 180 local primary school pupils enjoyed the annual 'Maths Challenge' organised by Mr Holliday, our Vice Principal.
Competition was fierce, creating an exciting atmosphere with fantastic results showing continuing improvement in mathematical ability.
The events were held over two Friday mornings, with the team St Mary & St Michael RC Primary winning the larger schools event and Forton Primaryexcelling in the smaller school group.
The first Challenge took place on Friday 20th January and involved Garstang Community Primary, Garstang St Thomas' Primary, St Mary & St Michael RC Primary and Kirkland & Catterall St Helen's C of E Primary. Maths Challenge B took place on Friday 3rd February and involved Forton, Great Eccleston Copp, Nateby, St Michaels-on-Wyre, Bilsborrow John Cross and Scorton Primary Schools.
