In December, our younger readers were asked to write and illustrate a Book Review for one of their favourite books.

With over 90 fantastic entries, it was very difficult to choose a winner but it had to be done!

The first prize of a hamper full of chocolates and a signed copy of a Tommy Donbavand book went to Freida Gilliatt (7.5), who gave her book 5 out of 5 stars.

Confessions of a Murder Suspect by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro

Tandy Angel is a whip-smart prodigy, so when her parents are mysteriously killed in the night Tandy takes it upon herself to find the murderer.  This book is a fantastic story, packed with shocks and surprises that will make you laugh, cry and want to come back for more!

The prize was presented by English teachers, Miss Hall and Mr Cummings.  Congratulations Frieda!

Well done to the runners up – Anna Robinson (7.5) and Zach Willott (7.6) who reviewed Itch by Simon Mayo and Arena 13 by Joseph Delaney – both giving their books 5 stars too!

ALL BOOKS ARE AVAILABLE IN THE STUDY CENTRE NOW

Look out for more competitions throughout 2016.
