Year 10 student, John Wilding, recently participated in the European Junior Golf Open Finals in Spain.
We are thrilled that John performed very well in a strong European field. He entered the competition with the target of making the cut (being one of the top 30 competitors out of 102 boys) which was a very high target but one that his coach felt he should try to hit. John achieved this with some excellent play on very difficult courses and played against some of the top European players.
John represented his school, club and county – and everyone is very proud of his achievements. John was accompanied in the competition by his coach Ryan Done from Heysham Golf Club and his caddy for the event was Matthew Bargh, Heysham Golf Club Junior Captain.
