All payroll forms can be found on the Staff Portal (above). Hard copies are kept on the Payroll noticeboard in the corridor to the Finance Office. All completed forms can be returned to Payroll via the Payroll pigeon hole.

All additional hours must be authorised in advance by the School Business manager.
Claims for payment can be submitted using the Timesheet – Claim for Additional Hours Form for the month. Payments are included in the payroll for the following month.
Any member of staff who performs a midday supervision duty is entitled to either:
a) Payment plus one free meal on the day of the duty up to a value of £2.40.
b) Three free meals up to a value of £2.40 per meal.
To claim the payment in option a), you must complete a Midday Supervision Claim Form for the month. Payments are included in the payroll for the following month.
If there are any changes in your personal circumstances which will affect your tax status, you should notify the Inland Revenue, who will automatically inform the Company of any changes to your tax code. Addresses of local offices and enquiry centres can be found here:

Business travel and other expenses
Any business travel and other expenses should be authorised by the School Business Manager prior to the travel. Claims for travel expenses should be submitted for payment using the Expenses Claim Form.
The mileage claim for a journey to a temporary place of work should be the shorter of
i. The distance from home to the temporary place of work
ii. The distance from Garstang Community Academy to the temporary place of work.
To claim mileage expenses you must provide a copy of your car insurance which should include cover for business use.
Claims for other expenses e.g. public transport must be supported by receipts.
Your entitlement to occupational sick pay in accordance with your conditions of service is detailed below;
During the first year of service – 1 month full pay and, after completing four calendar months service, 2 months half pay;
During the second year of service – 2 months full pay and 2 months half pay;
During the third year of service – 4 months full pay and 4 months half pay;
During the fourth and fifth year of service – 5 months full pay and 5 months half pay;
After 5 years of service – 6 months full pay and 6 months half pay.

Changes in Personal Information for Employment Purposes
It is important that our records are correct, as inaccurate or out of date information may affect your salary or cause difficulties in situations where contact is required for emergencies. You must notify your Line Manager immediately of all changes in the following personal information:
• Name
• Home address
• Telephone number
• Bank account details
• Examinations passed/qualifications gained
• Emergency contact
• Driving licence penalties (if you are required to drive on Company business)
• Criminal charge, caution or conviction
• Conflict or potential conflict of interest
Personal data on employees is held in accordance with the provisions of the Company’s Data Protection Policy which will be made available for inspection by you if required.
