CONGRATULATIONS to the Year 7 Girls Rounders team who are now Wyre and Fylde Rounders Champions.
On Wednesday 20th June, we took the Year 7 Rounders team to the Wyre and Fylde Rounders tournament. The girls played phenomenally well in some extremely windy conditions. They came second in the group stage after an extremely close game with Rossall.
They beat Cardinal Allen in the semi-final – this was an amazing game with both teams playing fantastically well.
In the final, we took on Rossall again. The girls were remarkable, their fielding was outstanding keeping Rossall’s Rounders to 6. The final score was 14.5 – 6.
The girls commitment and attitude to Rounders this year has been superb and they deserve this success. We wish them all the very best for their final league match against Hodgson next week.
