Mr Holliday, our Vice Principal, invited over 150 local primary school pupils to enjoy the annual 'Maths Challenge'.
There was an exciting atmosphere - competition was fierce with fantastic results showing continuing improvement in primary mathematical ability.
The events were held over two Thursday mornings, with the team St Mary & St Michael RC Primary winning the larger schools event and St Michaels-on-Wyre Primary excelling in the smaller school group.
The first Challenge took place on Thursday 8th February and involved Garstang Community Primary, Garstang St Thomas' Primary, St Mary & St Michael RC Primary and Kirkland & Catterall St Helen's C of E Primary. Maths Challenge B took place on Thursday 1st March and involved Forton, Great Eccleston Copp, Nateby, St Michaels-on-Wyre and Bilsborrow John Cross Primary Schools.
