A team of eight Year 7 students competed in the annual Rotary Tournament at the UCLAN Sports Arena in Preston on Friday 6th May 2016.
Twelve teams were in the competition with five group stage matches, each lasting 20 minutes, semi-finals and the final.
The GCA team played brilliantly throughout the event and reached the finals where they were beaten in a hard fought match.
As a result of their success they have been invited to represent the NW Rotary Club, along with the winning team, in the Rotary National Tournament to be held at St George’s Park, Burton upon Trent – where the England team train!
