One hundred and seventy four pupils from 10 local primary schools enjoyed the annual ‘Maths Challenge’ organised by Mr Holliday, our Assistant Headteacher.
Competition was fierce, creating an exciting atmosphere with fantastic results showing continuing improvement in mathematical ability.
The events were held over two Monday mornings, with the team from St Mary & St Michael RC Primary winning the larger schools event and St Michaels-on-Wyre excelling in the smaller schools group.
We look forward to another great community maths event next year!
Week 1 challenge took place on Monday 25th January and involved Garstang Community, Garstang St Thomas’, St Mary & St Michael RC and Kirkland & Catterall St Helen’s C of E primary schools.

Week 2 took place on Monday 1st February and involved Forton, Great Eccleston Copp, Nateby, St Michaels-on-Wyre, Bilsborrow John Cross and Scorton/Calder Vale Primary schools.
