We are raising money for an All-Weather Pitch in Garstang

We’re delighted that our project 16-3538 successfully reached the Finals of the Aviva Community Fund.

Over 4000 projects applied for funding with nearly 5 million votes being cast in the first round.

A HUGE thankyou to everyone who took the time to vote for us.

Unfortunately the project was not selected for the top award however Aviva have made a £500 contribution to our fundraising effort.

We are preparing our bid to Sport England's new Community facilities Fund which we will submit before Easter. We continue to work very closely with Garstang Ladies Hockey Club and also Garstang Rugby Club. We thank them for their continued support and enthusiasm.

We will get there!!!!!

This is an exciting time for the community of Garstang. We launched our ‘Pitch In for Garstang’ appeal in the Autumn 2015 term to raise money for a shared All-Weather Pitch at GCA. Since 2011 we have all seen the huge benefits the new sports hall brought to both the school and the wider community and we are passionate about bringing a world class facility to Garstang. The pitch will provide opportunities for a host of recreational sporting activities such as hockey, football and rugby and particularly Garstang Ladies Hockey Club have plans to make the pitch their home ground and we could even see our town becoming a regional centre of excellence for hockey. The Pitch will be flood lit which will enable us to offer usage of the pitch to our community after school and at weekends.
